Where can I learn everything about healthy eating for diabetic patients?
Posted on September 6th, 2011, by
My dad has diabetes. He doesn’t eat properly. Eats too much sometime and sometimes skip meals. He even sometimes forget to take his insulin needle. Also, he doesn’t exercise. He’s really thin but he still needs to exercise right?
I wanna take control of that because I don’t want my dad to die early.
Where can I find information about healthy eating? I know google is a good source to start but I can’t seem to find a good website.
Any help? Thanks! ![]()

A good diabetic nutritionist sure would solve that problem.. i know. They have a food plan to follow, of which you eat in portion (hand size) only , for 3 meals a day.. .. a portion of everything, veggies, fruits, protein, milk,grains.. All that’s required. lots of good sites here in google.. Type in diabetic 2, if it that type of diabetes..Food plan for diabetic2…There’s two types of diabetes,diabetic1 one with insulin and the other diabetes2 with no insulin. Think that’s right..

The official organization is the American Diabetes Association. You might want to check that. Also, you could try ask.com and just put in the question as it’s written here. You might take out "everything", but otherwise it’d be fine for that site.
