what is the difference between fruit juice and fruit juice concentrate?

Isn’t fruit juice concentrate made from fruit juice? So how come my packet of apple juice list of ingredients says "apple juice, apple juice concentrate"?
if the juice is dehydrated and water is added back again, does its nutritrient value decrease?
IF it doesn’t decrease then come people prefer fresh juice?

Concentrate means that the juice at some point needs water added to it. so when your apple juice says that, it means it’s made from fresh apple juice and apple juice thats been condensed which basically means partially dehydrated then had water added to it.

It’s all in how much, or how little water is added in the particular formula :)

  3. Ask the Chef Says:

You add water to the concentrate. The concentrate has the water removed.
